a Happy Holiday Season!
The Biker Christmas Eve
'Twas the night before Christmas and we gathered together
To get in our last ride, No matter the weather.
We wrapped in our warmest, all the cowhide attire,
and figured when we get back, we'd warm by the fire.
We bundled up tightly, and pulled on our gloves,
cranked up the engines, and looked to the stars above.
It was a clear, crisp night, not a cloud in the sky.
What a great night for our final yearly ride.
We mounted our Harleys, ready to go for the ride,
when out of the darkness we heard a loud cry.
"Ho, Ho, Hold it," was the loud, deep plead.
"Don't pull away yet, I want the lead."
We all sat there in awe as the old biker pulled in,
Wearing red leather, and a shit eating grin.
We watched as he dismounted and strode to our side,
and said that not often enough with other bikers does he ride.
So we agreed with the fat man, that he could lead the way.
And he mounted his bike, and exclaimed, "What a day!"
He cracked it wide open as he pulled from the curb,
and we raced in a parade down through the burbs.
People were gawking from the windows through town.
Not one of them realized what was going down.
We followed him faster, as 'round the corner we came,
Saw him lift into the sky, and then he exclaimed,
"Brothers and Sisters, what a great ride it's been.
And come next year, I'll see you again!"
We pulled to the gravel and watched him in awe,
as he rode through the sky, following the stars.
We glanced at each other but never said a thing.
Just rode off into the night, hearing our bikes sing.
We pulled up to the bar, and shut off the bikes.
We knew we just had, the best Christmas Eve Night.
And when we entered, the drinks lined the bar.
We heard another message come from afar,
"Go have one on me," he said with such pride,
"Merry Christmas to all, and thanks for the ride!"
